On This Redesign
Fox Sports announcer Tim McCarver said during the Red Sox/Stankees game yesterday that when his plane landed in Boston, the flight attendant said over the PA, "Welcome to Red Sox Nation." This doesn't surprise me one bit. That's because Boston, unlike any other city (except maaaaaybe Chicago), has an unyielding, unwaivering, unreasonable sense of pride and loyalty in the Red Sox, and in the city in general. I am no exception.
It's with that in mind that this most recent redesign comes along. I recently moved back to the eastern part of Massachusetts after a long hiatus out in the Happy Hippie Valley. And instantly, I was reminded how fiercely loyal and proud the citizens of Boston are.
It's true. I don't live within city limits of Boston. But I'm still a Boston boy. And with a name like Kelly, you better believe I'm green-blooded.
I also wanted to capture a more graphically-inclined design this time. I wanted to move past the 800x600 box with a header and logo. I feel the city scape breaks the mold so to speak, with a wider, flowing feel.
Please let me know what you think! I'd love some feedback. Thanks!

Daily Show, September 14, 2001
This is the 8-minute opening segment of The Daily Show from a few days after the September 11th attack. It's an incredibly moving monologue by Jon Stewart. I think it's a testament to his talent as an entertainer and truly, I've never seen a TV personality be as real as he is in this clip. It is a great moment in television history.
